Terms of Service

Last updated October 30, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Pro Hunt Weather (“we”, “us”) for using the Pro Hunt Weather iPhone app, web app and website (together, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Weather, safety and your judgment

Forecasts, hunt outlooks, scent and wind predictions, legal light times, terrain analysis and Pro Hunt Guide suggestions are estimates. Weather changes, sensors fail and models are wrong. Don't rely on the service for decisions where your safety or someone else's depends on it. Check official forecasts and warnings, watch the sky, and use your own judgment in the field.

Hunting laws and land

You're responsible for hunting legally and safely: licenses, seasons, bag limits, legal shooting hours, hunter orange, and permission to be on the land you hunt. Legal light times, rut timing and regulation summaries in the service are a convenience, can be out of date or wrong, and aren't legal advice. The state wildlife agency's current regulations always control. Maps and terrain layers don't show property lines or grant access to any land.

Your account

Plans and subscriptions

Your content

You own what you add to the service: spots, waypoints, photos, notes, routes, reports and questions. You give us permission to store, process, copy and display it only to run the service for you (for example, to sync it to your devices, compute forecasts for your spots, and answer your questions to the Pro Hunt Guide). That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which expire on their own. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.

Weather stations

If you connect a weather station, you're responsible for it and for the readings it sends. Keep its upload token private; you can replace it at any time. You let us use your station's readings, without any link to you, to improve forecasts for everyone.

AI features

Some Pro features use AI: sign suggestions for waypoint photos and the Pro Hunt Guide. AI can be wrong or incomplete, even when it sounds confident. Check its suggestions against what you see, and don't rely on it for legal questions; the agency's regulations control.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. In particular, don't:

Our service

We own the service, including its software, design, forecasts and outlooks (but not your content or the public data it uses). We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. We keep improving the service, so features may change, and we may add or remove features or stop offering the service. If we stop offering Pro, we'll refund any prepaid period you haven't used. Some features use offline maps or cached data that may not be current.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Data sources

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate, or that any forecast or outlook will come true.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities (including a missed hunt), arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you added, your use of the service in breach of these terms, or your breaking the law (including hunting or trespass laws), you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

Apple

If you got the app from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no duty to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims about it (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). To the extent any warranty applies that we can't disclaim, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the app's purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm you aren't in a country under a U.S. government embargo and aren't on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the App Store's terms.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Buncombe County, North Carolina, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to. You can't transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the service.
